VIČI BIO products showcased at an organic food festival in the Netherlands
Vičiūnai Group took part in the EKOTOWN 2026 organic food festival in Beesd, the Netherlands, where it showcased the VIČI BIO product range.
Organic VIČI BIO Gyoza dumplings took centre stage among festival visitors. They were freshly prepared and offered for tasting from a specially designed Gyoza cart, which became a distinctive and eye-catching feature of the VIČI presentation.
EKOTOWN is not a traditional trade fair, but a vibrant organic food festival bringing together consumers, farmers, producers, suppliers and representatives of specialised retailers. In its second year, the festival grew to include more than 150 food stands and over 120 brands. The programme featured tastings, cooking demonstrations, workshops, talks and live music performances.
As the festival focuses on organic food and sustainability, only products that meet BIO standards are showcased. VIČI BIO Gyoza perfectly matched the concept of the event, giving visitors an opportunity to discover VIČI’s organic product range and experience its taste first-hand.
“The event was organised by Udea, one of the leading organic wholesale and retail companies in the Benelux region, supplying around 400 specialised stores. Its product range currently includes three VIČI products, and buyers regard our products as some of the most innovative in their category,” says Rob Schreur, Managing Director of Vichiunai Europe.
Participation in the festival provided an opportunity to hear consumer feedback directly, increase awareness of VIČI BIO in the Netherlands and strengthen relationships with local retail representatives.
This year, the festival was held for the second time at a truly unique venue—the grounds of Heerlijkheid Mariënwaerdt, a family-owned estate covering more than 900 hectares in the town of Beesd, the Netherlands. The inaugural event in 2025 attracted more than 3,000 visitors, including over 130 retail representatives, and brought together around 80% of the Netherlands’ largest organic retailers. These figures demonstrate that, in just a few years, EKOTOWN has become an important meeting place for the organic food market and a valuable platform for launching new products in the Netherlands.
