HISTORY
The construction of the plant and warehouses Baltic Fish Export began in the Kaunas Free Economic Zone (FEZ) in 2012 and as early as June 2013 the plant and warehouses started the production supply.
ACTIVITIES
Baltic Fish Export, UAB primary activities include fish and seafood processing, freezing and packaging.
Baltic Fish Export processes fish that is caught in the Baltic and other seas and oceans. The remaining part of fish is imported from Scandinavia and other countries.
Here, in the plant, fish is processed, packed and, fully prepared, is transported to retailers. The intention is to sell the production in local market and export it to the European Union Member States.
Types of produced frozen fish: hoki fillet, hoki, hake, hake fillet, notothenia, tilapia fillet, grenadier, redfish, Baltic cod, Atlantic cod, haddock, pollock (coalfish), prawns, seafood cocktail, squid rings, octopuses, scallops, mussels.
Baltic Fish Export warehouses store and distribute products from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania; shipments are transported to the customers in the Baltic States, Scandinavia, Central Europe and Western Europe.
