Completion of the Technicians Academy - a step toward new competencies and career opportunities

The Technicians Academy, which started a few months ago, has now been successfully completed - marking an important step in employees’ professional growth and competency development.

The three-month program brought together 15 motivated participants who aimed to improve their qualifications and gain a new professional direction.

The training was organized by Plungė Technology and Business School (PTVM), which carried out the entire training process under a non-formal vocational education program and ensured the transfer of both theoretical and practical knowledge. The school was responsible for training the participants.

It is important to mention that the Education and Competence Center operating within the company coordinates all employee training and its organization. It is through this center that employee participation in training is planned and implemented, in cooperation with PTVM and other training partners. This enables employees to grow and strengthen their competencies.

The training involved employees from various positions – maintenance fitters, operators, packaging equipment maintenance technicians, and other specialists who decided to change their professional direction and acquire the qualification of “Technical Assistant for Automatic Systems Mechatronics.”

Over the course of three months, attending training once a week, participants deepened their knowledge in switching devices, pneumatics, installation of electronic equipment, and technical maintenance. The acquired competencies provided a solid foundation for working with modern automated systems.

At the end of the training, all participants successfully passed their final examinations and obtained a new qualification. This is the result of their effort, responsibility, and determination.

On April 22, this important stage was crowned with a ceremonial certificate award event. The participants were congratulated by PTVM Director A. Misiūnas and the Head of the Sectoral Practical Training Center, Arūnas Bitaris.

We are proud of all the program participants and congratulate. These are people who demonstrate by their example that professional growth begins with the decision to learn, improve, and not be afraid of change.

This initiative once again confirms that within the Vičiūnai Group, in cooperation with PTVM and other educational institutions, real opportunities are created for employee development, strengthening of competencies, and continuous professional improvement. This is becoming an inevitable direction in order to keep pace with technological progress, market changes, and the constantly growing requirements for competencies.

We hope that this Technicians Academy will continue to thrive successfully and that, in the near future, a new group of employees eager for career change and professional growth will begin their journey.
