For decades, the “GAST” exhibition has been considered one of the key events showcasing HoReCa market trends, innovations, new products, and fostering business connections important not only for Croatia but for the entire regional gastronomy market.
A Strategic Step Ahead of the Tourism Season
“Viciunai Group’s” decision to participate in “GAST Fair” is no coincidence. The exhibition takes place just a few months before the most intensive tourist season, making it a strategically favorable time to strengthen brand visibility and introduce products to new partners.
According to Sigitas Puidokas, Head of Market at the distribution company “Viciunai & Ko,” participation in the Croatian exhibition is an important step toward ensuring that VIČI products become an integral part of the upcoming season’s gastronomic experiences across the region. The main goal is not only to present new products but also to establish long-term business relationships with representatives of the HoReCa sector.
Wide Tasting Selection for HoReCa Professionals
At the 40 sq. m VIČI stand, visitors are invited to taste a broad assortment of products tailored for professional kitchens. The exhibition highlights products such as exotic Gyoza, salmon and breaded items, as well as surimi products, sweet filled pancakes, white fish, Khinkali dumplings, surimi shrimp, and tempura products.
As S. Puidokas notes, the tastings allow exhibition visitors not only to evaluate the flavor of the products but also to see their potential applications in restaurant, hotel, and other catering menus.
Special Partnership with Chef Ino Kuvačić
A distinctive feature of the VIČI stand has become its collaboration with renowned Croatian chef Ino Kuvačić. The chef is a cookbook author and ambassador of Dalmatian cuisine, having developed his professional career both in Croatia and Australia, working in prestigious restaurants in Melbourne and Sydney.
In his culinary work, Chef Ino draws inspiration from family traditions and Mediterranean philosophy, where food represents not only taste but also community, culture, and lifestyle. Cooperation with the chef provides the “Viciunai Group” team with the opportunity to explore new flavor combinations and gain valuable professional insights relevant to the international HoReCa market.
“GAST Fair 2026” in Zagreb remains one of the most important HoReCa sector events in the region, contributing to the growth of gastronomic culture, international cooperation, and the creation of new business opportunities.
